watched the CU/Neb game, and talk about your waste of time. seriously. i think mid 3rd Q that Hawk should have gone to one of the retirement homes in Longmont (cause nobody old can afford to live in Boulder) and picked a new defense. Cause weren't nobody getting it done

Also caught the Kansas/Mizzou game. Poor kansas. if they'd have just played a good team one other time this year, they might have figured out how to get up off the floor before the 4th quarter.... as it was, once they finally figured out how to play, it was too late...

btw, nice work to LSU!

now I just need Oklahoma to win, and things will be looking up for the buckeyes!

Denver - Chicago Game

I figured that I should take some time off from movie reviewing to throw in my two cents. After all, I've rated 17 in 5 days of blogging.

Big football game Sunday for me. Denver at Chicago. My two favorite teams. Someone will win. But who do I root for? On the Bears side of the ball...I have:

A. The Bears Defense on my fantasy football team
B. A never ending love for Brian Urlacher
C. A third place in division 4-6 football team.
D. No love for Rex Grossman.

On the Broncos side of the ball...I have:
A. Selvin Young on one of my fantasy football teams
B. A growing love for Jay Cutler
C. A tied for 1st place in division 5-5 football team
D. Still no love for Grossman

So I have fantasy football players affecting my love. The team I have with the Bears defense is going up against the guy who has Brett Favre throwing 381 yds and 3 TD's on Turkey Day. (Fuck you Detroit Lions! You've screwed me all year!)

Week 3: Donovan McNabb throws for 381 yds and 4 TD's good for 52 pts (guess who he played against?)
Week 4: I pick up Brian Griese for Drew Bree's bye week. Hey Detroit has been getting scorched by the air all year, what could go wrong? Griese throws 3 picks in the endzone.
Week 7: The guy I play picks up Jeff Garcia for the week. Garcia plays Detroit, same logic I had for Week 4. Garcia throws for 316 yds and 2 TD's = 46 pts
Week 8: Detroit goes to Chicago and scorches my Bears Defense
Week 9: Detroit scorches the Broncos. At least I didn't play the guy who had Cutler (1 pt). Oh wait, I played the guy who had Jon Kitna. FUCK! 30 pts in limited action. At least the backup came in during the 3rd Qtr. I trade for Roy Williams this week to maybe break the curse. Five points. Dammit!
Week 10: Pissed off at Detroit, I bench Roy Williams. He scores 2 TD's and gets 21 pts on my bench. Fuckers!


Back to the Denver-Chicago reasoning...okay my fantasy teams are getting screwed this year, fuck reasoning A.
B: I love Urlacher and Cutler = wash.
C: Denver is in 1st (a bad 5-5 record) and Chicago is in 3rd (4-6) = Advantage Denver
D. No love for Grossman vs Still no love for Grossman. Two negatives equal a positive right? NO! Grossman sucks! He cost us a Super Bowl! Fuck him! = Advantage Denver

I guess I'll root for the Broncos!

In answer to your question, I'd prefer to play Oregon for the sheer ease, now that Dixon is out.

In the long term, I've had a feeling we'd play ASU for awhile.

That worries me. Oregon would have been the natural, but, I get the impression we can stick a fork in them...

USC is a long shot at this point.

Technically there's still a shot at the BCS title game. Oklahoma helped out by choking out this weekend. LSU is probably sabotaged thanks to Carr's retirement. there are possiblities i'm saying...
