My list of five candidates for this college football season are...
1. Oregon
2. Boise State (I'll get to root for the "right" Boise State coach for once!)
3. Georgia
4. Penn State (if Tom waives his Big 10 objection to protect Illinois)
5. Cal
6. (alternate) Cincinnati
7. (alternate - 2nd) LSU

so what are the rules. i probably can't handle 5, but maybe 2 or 3...
Rules:
We each pick five teams we wouldn't mind rooting for for at least one (this) season.
That team can't be one that will compete directly with one of "our" teams unless the fan of that team waives the objection (i.e. if you waive an objection to Penn State). After we have all put our five in the ring, we will hold a vote by ranking the teams we like of all those mentioned in order (5 points for first, one point for fifth, etc.) Team with the most votes is the team we follow.
We have to buy at least one item of "Schwag" and actively follow and root for the team. We may even get together to watch one of their games at a bar or something. We await your 5 James (and Dave!).
